Actiniopteris radiata (Sw.) Link

This species is native to Africa, Arabian Peninsula, Iran, extending eastwards to Myanmar. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Actiniopteris found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Small perennial fern with fan-shaped fronds ; up to 40 cm long with light brown and wholly membranous or dark central stripe and light membranous margins rhizome-scales . Fronds 5-25(-40) cm long , sharply declinate when desiccated , fan-shaped , dichotommously divided 4-6 times into 26-48 ± linear segments ; segments ± truncate and toothed at the apex . Spore sacs (sori) 2-5 x as long as the lamina . (Ref . Miller & Cope ; 1996) .
