Adiantum incisum Forssk.

This species is native to Africa, Arabian Peninsula, Indian Subcontinent, extending eastwards to China (Yunnan). (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 3 species of Adiantum found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Small perennial fern ; up to 30 cm with tufted fronds and narrowly lanceolate , brown rhizome-scale . Fronds tufted , dark green , pinnate . Stipe up to 8 cm long , dark brown to black , shiny , with numerous reddish brown hairs and long , linear , brown scales ; lamina pinnate , narrowly lanceolate , long-attenuate and often rooting at the tips . Spore sacs (sori) borne at apices of pinna lobes ; indusial flaps lunate to oblong , glabrous to thinly pilose . (Ref . https://www . zimbabweflora . co . zw) .
