Hemionitis morla Christenh.

This species is native to Niger, extending to Djibouti and Tanzania, Arabian Peninsula, SW Iran. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 5 species of Hemionitis found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Rhizome short-creeping ; with reddish brown rhizome scales , and stipe 5-15 cm , reddish brown , covered with pale brown scales . Fronds tufted , leathery ; lamina 2-3-pinnate-pinnatifid , triangular-ovate , dark green and glabrous above , brown and hairy beneath . Spore sacs (sori) flaps continuous along the margin , almost completely obscuring the surface of the pinnae beneath . (Ref . Miller & Cope ; 1996) .
