Selaginella perpusilla Baker

This species is native to Kenya, extending to Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Oman. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 3 species of Selaginella found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Small , moss-like pale green plant ; 0 . 5-1 . 5(-2 . 5) cm high , with creeping , rarely branched stems . Fronds dimorphic: laterals ovate , acute tip , the margins minutely denticulate , the base ± rounded ; median ovate-elliptic , acuminate at the tip , the margins minutely denticulate , the base ± rounded . Spore cases (sori) dimorphic , slightly larger than the leaves , shortly ciliate on the margins towards the base . (Ref . Miller & Cope ; 1996) .
