In Omani studies: Patzelt (2015) wrote that: "Traditionally, fresh or dried and powdered leaves are boiled, and the solution is used to treat stomach problems. Moist aromatic powdered leaves are used as perfume for rooms, and they are mixed with powdered leaves of the Christ thorn tree (Sider) for use as shampoo. The fruits are used to make a necklace".
