Leaves 30 x 2 . 5–5 cm , spreading to erect , narrowly lanceolate , wavy margins , mostly with intact apices , not glaucous , with distinct midrib . Inflorescences sessile , in umbels , 4–6-flowered ; scape 25–65 cm long , contemporary with the leaves ; bracts greenish , tinged with red , persistent and erect . Flowers sessile , white ; perianth white with pink to purplish median region , with a long tube and oblong-elliptic lobes ; filaments white tinged red , shorter than the perianth segments ; anthers dark , 8–10 mm long , curved ; style tinged red distally . Fruit capsule , greenish tinged red , with thick pericarp , subglobose without or with a very short apical beak .
