A tender herbaceous perennial ; up to 2 m tall or more , arising from a corm with a clumping growth habit . Stems long , stout , succulent . Leaves large , smooth , 2 or 3 or more , dark green above and light green beneath , heart-shaped to arrow-shaped , triangular-ovate , peltate , cordate-sagittate , apex obtuse , basal lobes ± rounded , conspicuously-veined , drooping downwards . Inflorescences solitary or several together in row in the leaf axils . Flowers unisexual , lacking tepals ; spathe is longer than spadix , cream to golden yellow in colour . Fruit berry , green , yellow-brown when ripe , thin-walled , few seeded . Seeds not seen . (Ref . POWO ; 2023) .
