Spathes with 2 overlapping bracts . Inflorescences solitary or paired . Flowers irregular , bisexual ; male flower with perianth 3 , 4 mm , elliptic , transparent with a dark stripe in the middle ; female flower sessile , perianth parts 3 , reduced ; ovary inferior , 1-locular .
